Our birds are given nearly 10 times the recommended grazing area for free range hens.
This keeps them, and our pastures, very happy.
So not only do they have plenty of space, we also rotationally graze our pastures. This gives time for the grass to grow back and lowers the nutrient loading on that area. (Keeps the ground healthy too).
We keep 4 age groups of birds. This gives us a good range of sizes and stable production all year. Naturally, all free range.
